Meet Your Event Host

Joanna Carr

Going BEYOND Strategy: Cultivating an Unshakeable Mindset and
Optimising Our Performance in Property, Business & Life.

Joanna’s property journey began at Progressive Property Network Cambridge, where she attended her first-ever networking event in December 2017.

At the time, she was a primary school teacher in the final weeks of pregnancy, unaware that this single event would change the course of her career. The inspiration, knowledge, and connections she gained that night became the catalyst for launching her own property business during maternity leave—leading to her decision never to return to
teaching.

Today, Joanna is the host of Progressive Property Network Cambridge, where she brings together ambitious property professionals to learn, connect, and elevate their success. Over the years, she has built a short-term rentals management company, started her own investment portfolio, and created a virtual assistant recruitment business tailored to property professionals.

But Joanna’s work goes far beyond property. Through writing, public speaking, training, and coaching, she helps entrepreneurs and investors master their mindset, optimise performance, and build a foundation for long-term success. She believes that strategy alone isn’t enough and lasting success comes from who we become in
the process.

When she’s not hosting events or helping others level up, Joanna enjoys spending time with her daughter, keeping fit, travelling, and unwinding with a good book by the fire.

MO JOGEE

Mo Jogee was always on the search to find a career where his passion and drive for what he enjoyed played a major part in his journey. Going through a boarding school, made his path to lead a normal life difficult. Even at the age of 16 he didn’t have the slightest idea what he wanted to become. Society labelled him as very quiet, shy and with very little confidence in himself.

Before property Mo tried many different areas in work & business and never truly settled in one area until property became his ambition. All roads had to lead to property due to his father's already 40 year plus experience which led to the family building a very healthy buy to let portfolio consisting of circa 40 properties in Leeds.

Immersing himself and joining the property business wasn't easy because of his inability to obtain mortgages to purchase buy to let properties like his father. Mo tried many strategies including HMO rent to rent but nothing materialized including mentorship with progressive property co-founders Rob Moore & Mark Homer. Everything changed when they partnered up with another developer who came to them to purchase their commercial business centre and a partnership formed that skyrocketed the existing property business.

The journey ensued in a joint venture on a 94000 square foot commercial building in the heart of Newcastle and how that has led to where he is today. Now with 10 million pound plus developments in the pipeline and investing away from property in acquiring businesses all is looking rosy but it was anything but before.

Mo's talk will be centred around 'The Power of Joint ventures' the trials & tribulations of the mega deal and how it did not go to plan and what was learnt so you can learn from, including how he found his JV partner and how you can do the same (spoiler these people do not hang around on social media). To conclude he will share what lessons were learnt and where it is important to understand what makes a high-level JV partnership tick and
work.

DELME THOMPSON

Delme brings 25 years’ experience in international financial education, including roles at London Stock Exchange and CFA Institute, the world’s largest investment management association. He founded East Anglia Homes in 2022 to address the lack of affordable family homes and quality rental properties in the region. In 2023 he was elected to local government and serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, and a member of the Development Management (Planning) Committee at South Norfolk Council.

His session ‘The Signal and The Noise’ will share key insights on identifying our value driven goals vs. the ‘shiny pennies’, how to walk your path not someone else’s and how to balance passion, ambition, and patience to build foundations for a business that truly makes a difference.
