Meet Your Event Host
Joanna Carr
Joanna’s property journey began at PPN Cambridge, where she attended her first-ever
networking event in December 2017. At the time, she was a primary school teacher in the final weeks of her pregnancy.
This single event—and the inspiration, knowledge, and connections she gained—became the catalyst for launching her own property business during her maternity leave, leading to her decision not to return to her teaching career.
Starting with a Rent-to-Serviced Accommodation business, Joanna steadily grew her
venture into a short-term rentals management company. This opened the door to new
opportunities, including starting her own investment portfolio and founding a virtual
assistant (VA) recruitment business tailored to support property professionals.
Joanna is deeply passionate about the potential of serviced accommodation, both as a
business model and as an investment strategy, and she actively advocates for raising
industry standards in this field.
Beyond her property ventures, Joanna believes true success comes from a holistic
approach. She places a strong emphasis on mindset development and is dedicated to
helping others achieve their personal and professional goals. Public speaking, training,
and coaching have become integral to her work, allowing her to share her journey and
insights with others.
When not working on her businesses or helping her clients grow theirs, Joanna enjoys
spending quality time with her daughter, travelling, keeping fit and relaxing with a good
book by the fire.

Keynote :
‘ The FIRST 25 YEARS and beyond ’
My enhanced blueprint for property investing .
Fiona's talk will be a fantastic opportunity for property investors, especially portfolio landlords, to gain insights into advanced strategies that go beyond the traditional training. Her "key blueprint for the future" could offer innovative ideas and practical knowledge drawn from her experience on the coalface of property investment.
Since Fiona rarely speaks at events, this adds even more value to the session, as attendees will be hearing from someone with up-to-date, real-world experience.
The Q&A segment should allow for a deeper dive into specific concerns or opportunities, making it an excellent chance for both new and seasoned investors to gather expert advice.
Fares Hatoum
I was born in Syria and made the life-changing move to the UK at the age of 18 in August 2002. My journey in the UK has been filled with educational accomplishments and a profound career shift.
During my time in London, I dedicated myself to learning English at an A-level standard, a pivotal step in my journey to becoming proficient in this new environment. My passion for education continued to flourish as I pursued my first university degree at ARU Cambridge. Subsequently, I embarked on another academic adventure, obtaining a second degree from Bradford University.
In 2017, on Valentine's Day, I received a precious gift in the form of my beautiful daughter. This life-changing moment inspired me to take a leap of faith and become my own boss. I delved into property investment and ventured into establishing my own business.
August 2017 saw me attend an event at Progressive Property, a transformative experience that set the stage for what was to come. I embarked on Serviced Accommodation training in September 2017, and just a month later, I became the proud owner of my first business.
The pandemic served as a wake-up call, urging me to invest in self-improvement and personal growth. I eagerly enrolled in various courses offered by Tony Robbins and Progressive Property. Additionally, I became a part of several mastermind training groups. This period of personal development has been pivotal in my journey.
