River’s property journey began in 2018 when she attended a weekend property event and set up her first company. However, without the right community and ongoing training, she found it too challenging to move forward and decided to step back.
Everything changed when she met her life partner Hamish, whose passion and drive in property became infectious to her and became the catalyst for her to take a second shot.

In 2023, after attending her first MSOPI, River reignited her property ambitions with a fresh perspective and the support she needed to succeed. With a long and successful career in recruitment, River has developed a wealth of transferable skills that align perfectly with her property ventures.

After taking a career break to study Zoology, she returned to recruitment with an environmental research NGO, where she continues to thrive in a role she loves.

Today, River works alongside Hamish as they build their property portfolio through Lilypad Stays. Together, they are proud to be establishing their third serviced accommodation property in Oxfordshire, blending their passion, expertise and vision to create homely stays for their guests.
