At My Landlord Cares, our ethos is to support tenants to settle and stay. With many landlords purchasing rental properties in areas of disadvantage, this is more needed than ever before. Tenants are unaware of their rights and responsibilities and they need help to overcome unfair practices.

Landlords need more assistance especially if they are self-managing.

The Residential Landlords Association (RLA) found that 38% of landlords spend over 5 hours per month on property maintenance. This is where the private rented sector needs to do more to help. My Landlord Cares LTD was born to provide a bridge between both the private rented sector and the social housing world. This comes from the founder Mahara Haque’s unique experience from having experience in both worlds

She is a private landlord, who has extensive working experience working with communities through both local authorities and charities. She is currently a board member for 3 social housing associations and brings her wealth of knowledge to the private rented sector through her ethical letting agency.

She talks passionately about ethical property investment and has done a TEDX on this.

She has partnered with the Homewards Foundation with Prince Williams to discuss how the private rented sector can be brought into these conversations. Her letting agency seeks to be a pioneer in the space and was set up after her own frustrations around finding a letting agency that shares her social values.
