Networking is ultimately the catalyst to building a property business. If you’re able to find people who have already been through your journey, you’re already a few steps ahead. Go into networking with an open mind, not judging people; it is ultimately an opportunity. It’s very enjoyable because of the shared interest and values. It provides an opportunity to learn from others’ experience.
I network because property can be quite lonely. Networking is a great opportunity to share ideas with people, to get to know people and ultimately, if there is a challenge along the way in property, you can speak to other people – they might have the same challenge as you. It’s about collaborating and helping each other. Networking has allowed me to keep up to date with local and national things going on in the property world
The Power of Networking – go out and meet as many people as possible and help them. That’s why I attend these events. Solve people’s problems, add value and that’s what it’s about. There are other property events, but I’ve found these PPN events immensely beneficial to my business. If you want to get ahead and understand the strategies and find people who can provide building services, or whatever it is you’re lacking, you must attend these events. If you surround yourself with like-minded people and go to these events, you can get results.
The reason to come out and network is because property can be a very lonely journey. We can always learn something from somebody else; for me, networking has helped me to grow my business. You’re the sum of the five people you spend the most of your time with. It’s about building a community, we like to have a laugh. It’s about community spirit.
