Richard is the founder and director of Clear Idea Finance, based in Ipswich.

Richard is a CeMAP-qualified mortgage adviser and can help property investors with all types of property finance, including:

Richard has almost 30 years’ experience in banking and finance. He began his career in the mid-1990s with Credit Suisse in New York and London, before spending 12 years with Barclays Bank in London and Hong Kong. He lived in Hong Kong for 13 years and was a Director of Debt Finance at Barclays Investment Bank for almost 10 years.

Richard is also an experienced property investor and developer. He bought his first BTL property in 1997 and has owned more than 20 properties in 5 countries on 3 continents.

Richard’s qualifications and professional affiliations include:

· MA and BA (Hons) degrees in Economics from the University of Cambridge

· Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority

· CeMAP-qualified mortgage adviser (passed with distinction)

· Member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance

· Member of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB)

· Member of the Financial Intermediary and Broker Association (FIBA)
