Tina’s passion for the law and compliance blossomed whilst she was a serving police officer in the Lancashire Constabulary. Then in 2005, Tina and her husband, Tony, decided to invest in a BTL property for extra income, but made almost every rookie mistake possible. The experience curbed their enthusiasm for property investment, until late 2011 when it was suggested that property sourcing was a good sector to start a business in.
Tina is passionate about the property sourcing sector and has just finished writing her book, ‘Property Sourcing Compliance: How to Stay the Right Side of the Law’. Her aim is to increase awareness, knowledge and professionalism within the sourcing sector, sharing her immense knowledge on compliance with budding new sourcers, established businesses and investors alike.
Privately Tina loves to read, travel, spend time in their garden and also drink red wine, not necessarily in that order! Together she and Tony have three grown up children, Rebecca, Sarah & David and live in the Ribble Valley.
In September 2017, Tina & Tony dipped their toes back into the investment market again by purchasing, refurbishing and flipping a block of 6 flats in the Fylde coast area.

Kevin built and managed a portfolio of properties whilst in the Army, the first in 1991 at the age of 20. The early properties included Buy to Lets and a full refurbishment and conversion to an HMO. All done whilst climbing to the Rank of Regimental Sergeant Major in a Commando Regiment!
Kevin chose to leave the Army in 2011 to embark on a full time career in property investing. Kevin has since added a large number of properties to his portfolio of HMOs and Buy to Lets. Kevin employs multiple strategies to grow his multi million pound portfolio such as Rent to Rent, Lease Option and straight purchase using private finance, but has also flipped many properties to generate capital.
Kevin is now growing his Serviced Accommodation portfolio using Rent to Rent and straight purchase.

I’m Mark Homer, and I have a few things to share with you.
So, you might be wondering a little about my background?
You might think you’ve heard it all before, but I can guarantee you have never seen it done like this.
During my decade of dedication to property I’ve learned so much, and in 2006 I partnered with Rob Moore to create Progressive Property. We are the United Kingdom’s largest and most personal property investment education company, but now I want to give something back to the public.
With over 700 properties between us it’s safe to say we’ve been there, done that, and now we’re bringing you the knowledge that we have found.
Some people -sadly- are drawn in by the media. Although many people share their misconceptions of these matters, it doesn’t mean YOU should. The question is; Are you investing your time and money in all the wrong places? If so we can change that today.
You might be making everyday decisions based on the public perception of what should be done. However, with a simple change of your thought process, you’ll find yourself unlocking more business potential, wealth and freedom than you ever thought possible.

Matthew graduated with an economics degree from the University of Manchester in 1999 and then worked in finance for several years as a qualified investment manager. At the age of 27, he founded a company called Kin which traced missing heirs to unclaimed inheritance all over the world.
Matthew bought his first investment property in 2005 and made some shrewd investments in the middle of the credit crisis in 2009. Having tripled his equity in only two years, he began to think about the potential of having his own property business.
With a steady source of capital from the heir hunting business, Matthew founded Opulen and began buying property with a JV partner in 2012. Matthew targeted Reading and built a substantial HMO portfolio over an 18-month period, finishing by refurbishing a new home for each partner in London. The end value of these projects was £14m.
In 2014, following the announcement to extend Crossrail, Reading became very popular and the portfolio delivered capital gains as well as good yields. The portfolio was sold in March 2016 as Opulen’s focus shifted towards property development in London.
Matthew will be sharing his story on how he got started in property, how and why he built his portfolio in Reading, and finally his transition towards property development in London.
Matthew will be discussing a broad range of topics including house prices, interest rates, the property cycle, sourcing deals, raising finance, systems & tools and always packs plenty of content into his presentations so do not miss this event.
